Does this 3-week makeup class sound like a rip-off?

Ok, there is a makeup school (Napoleon Perdis) in Hollywood that I was interested in attending. The tuition for this short class is a little over $700, but they also make you buy over $1,000 worth of makeup from them. While in class, students are allowed to use the school's makeup to practice with. The makeup that the students buy is supposed to be used when they launch their careers. They are to use only the finest makeup. That sounds like nonsense to me, because there makeup is not the cheapest in stores. Other companies sell their beaty products much cheaper (Revlon, Cover Girl, etc.) What should I do?Does this 3-week makeup class sound like a rip-off?
check them out with the Better Business Bureau just go to thier web page and look them up and you can read any negative info on them if there is any. good luck.Does this 3-week makeup class sound like a rip-off?
Thing is, Revlon, CG and those other cheaper brands are drugstore brands with lower quality. Napoleon Perdis is a high-end makeup brand. You might want to check out other classes that are available and consider, instead, purchasing cosmetics from MAC which is a little more cost-effective for a high-end brand, is very high-quality, and easily accessible. MAC is usually the first choice for makeup artists.
It sounds like a scam to me.

I would suggest googling the class and teachers.
